Michael Franti Benefit Concert

Globally recognized musician Michael Franti & Spearhead will celebrate Espanola Humane’s 30th anniversary with a benefit concert Aug. 5 at Santa Fe’s Fort Marcy Park.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 1. General admission is $41; VIP tickets are $76, which allows access to the front section of the park. Children ages 12 and under are admitted for free. Franti, who is also known for his humanitarian, activism and award-winning filmmaking, is revered for his high-energy live shows, inspiring music, devotion to health and wellness, worldwide philanthropic efforts and the power of optimism.
Throughout his multi-decade career, Franti has earned three Billboard No. 1’s with triumphantly hopeful hits “Sound of Sunshine,” “Say Hey (I Love You)” and “I Got You,” as well as six Top 30 Hot AC singles, nine Top 25 AAA Singles and three Billboard Top 5 Rock Albums.

Espanola Humane, founded as a nonprofit in 1992, offers free spay/neuter and vaccinations to pets in Rio Arriba County and beyond. In the past 30 years, the shelter has helped save more than 153,000 pet, boosted its save rate from 0% to more than 88% and slowed the number of pets coming into the shelter from more than 5,000 to less than 2,700 pets annually.
