Daphne @ Del Corazon
Hello! My name is Daphne @ Del Corazon!
Here’s what my friends at Española Humane say about me:
- Daphne has been "paw-roled" from our Paws in the Pen program in partnership with the New Mexico Corrections Department! Each dog is paired with two inmate trainers and enrolled in a 24/7 8-week training program designed to develop wonderful family dogs with excellent training. Each of these dogs will go home potty and crate trained with a whole list of cues and behaviors; to ensure a successful adoption, we are providing four training sessions with adopters, so you can learn what your dog knows, and an invitation to weekly discounted drop-in classes. These dogs also go home with a biothane leash and collar, 6 months of heartworm prevention, are fully up-to-date on all vaccines and medication, and are spayed and neutered.
Daphne has finished the program with flying colors and is ready to show off her skills in her new home. Her forelorn eyes and huge, happy smile will melt your heart. Incredibly sweet, with an abiding love for treats, she's a beautiful girl who is friendly with everyone, and is also good with other dogs. Daphne is curious and energetic, great at posing for pics, and gets sooooo excited to see her favorite people. Daphne is perfect for an active family who likes to spend time outdoors and snuggle on the couch.
If you’re interested in adopting me, fill out an application to get a jump start on the process! We don’t offer holds on shelter pets, so c’mon in to meet and greet to decide if you’ve met your match. Applications for pets in foster care, at Ojo Santa Fe, or offsite in other programs will be reviewed by staff before appointments are scheduled.
