ESPANOLA, NM — BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters returns Oct. 1–15, 2025, and Española Humane is proud to join more than 300 shelters across the country in the nation’s largest funded adoption event.
During the two-week event, adoption fees will be waived for adult cats and dogs and just $25 for puppies and kittens, thanks to BISSELL Pet Foundation. Adoptions will be available at Española Humane, 108 Hamm Parkway, and at select weekend off-site locations.
“Shelters everywhere are stretched thin, but every adoption changes a life,” said Cathy Bissell, Founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation. “When you adopt, you give a pet a second chance and join a movement that’s saving lives across the country.”
Since 2016, Empty the Shelters has helped more than 360,000 pets find homes, partnering with 815+ shelters across 49 states and Canada.
