Española Humane Hosts Free Vaccine Clinic
March 11, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
A free vaccine clinic for dogs and cats hosted by Española Humane is set for Saturday, March 11, at Española Valley High School.
The 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. clinic will be held in the school’s gym, 1111 El Llano Road, Española. In addition to core vaccinations for dogs and cats, and rabies vaccinations for age-appropriate pets, the clinic offers information on pet health care and health.
This vaccine clinic is for pets in Española Humane’s service area, which includes Rio Arriba County, associated pueblos, and northern Santa Fe County communities. Pre-registration is not required. Please bring dogs on leashes and cats in carriers. If you are concerned about the safety of your pet, please leave your pet in your vehicle and ask a greeter to help you.
The series of free vaccination clinics aim to keep pets healthy in the community. Petco Love’s national vaccination initiative provides 1 million free pet vaccines to its existing animal welfare partners, including Española Humane.
Parvovirus, distemper in dogs, and panleukopenia in cats, are some of the most prevalent deadly diseases impacting pets that are preventable with a simple vaccine. An estimated 30% of pet parents do not take their pets to a veterinarian annually for preventative care.
There is a limited supply of vaccines, so first come, first serve will be in effect. For more information, please call 505-692-4039.
