Batty

Hello! My name is Batty!

Here’s what my friends at Española Humane say about me:

- At just 1 year and 6 months old, Batty is a young girl with enough energy and personality to keep life exciting! This fun-loving pup is always ready for her next adventure, whether that's a long walk, a game outside, or zooming around the yard having the time of her life.

Batty is looking for an active family that can keep up with her playful spirit. She loves being outdoors and will need plenty of exercise, enrichment, and playtime to help her be her very best self.

Now, let's talk about one of Batty's quirks she loves to play with her mouth! When she gets excited, she may give little "love bites" during play. She's not trying to be naughty; she simply hasn't learned a better way to express her excitement and affection yet. With patience, consistency, and some training, Batty can learn good manners and become an amazing companion.

Behind all that energy is a sweet girl who just wants attention, fun, and someone to share her adventures with. If you're looking for a dog that will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and fill your days with excitement, Batty might just be your perfect match.

If you’re interested in adopting me, fill out an application to get a jump start on the process! We don’t offer holds on shelter pets, so c’mon in to meet and greet to decide if you’ve met your match. Applications for pets in foster care, at Ojo Santa Fe, or offsite in other programs will be reviewed by staff before appointments are scheduled.

Become a foster superhero.

Fostering can be as easy as having a litter of young ones in a spare bathroom before they go to an adoption event. Or, maybe you’d like an adult to spend time with your family, just to see how that pet transforms with a little love and attention. We promise it’ll be rewarding.

Join our team of volunteers

Volunteers help every facet of our work, from support at the shelter to helping with adoption events to assistance with animal transport. We provide the training and the welcoming environment. Meet new people, learn new skills, and feel good about helping animals.
